1. Descriptions:
Hydroxypropyl guar gum is a kind of plant fracturing gum modified by guar gum. It is the most commonly used thickening agent for water-based fracturing fluid at home and abroad. The product has the characteristics of high viscosity, low residue, little friction and strong shear resistance.
Fracturing fluids are required to have a high capacity to carry sand. This means that fracturing fluids should have high viscosity because when injected downhole, low viscosity can cause proppant to plug the wellhead and cause significant losses to the field. A certain amount of crosslinking agent can be added to the fracturing fluid of Guar gum to increase the viscosity of fracturing fluid.
